{"id":63,"date":"2015-12-13T23:33:33","date_gmt":"2015-12-13T23:33:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=63"},"modified":"2021-05-21T23:00:57","modified_gmt":"2021-05-22T03:00:57","slug":"membership","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/membership\/","title":{"rendered":"Membership"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<h4>There are \u00a0four categories of Membership with the Royal Canadian Legion:<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Ordinary Membership<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>You may be eligible for Ordinary membership if you have served or are serving in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Canadian Armed Forces or Her Majesty&#8217;s Armed Forces (regular force or reserve force with class &#8220;C&#8221; service); or<\/li>\n<li>the Armed Forces or underground forces of any of Her Majesty&#8217;s allies in a war or police action in which Canada was involved; or<\/li>\n<li>the Merchant Navy or non-military services in an actual theatre of war in which Canada was involved; or<\/li>\n<li>Her Majesty&#8217;s reserve force including Cadet Instructors on the Cadet Cadre. Must have at least one year (12 months) service; or<\/li>\n<li>The Royal Canadian Mounted Police or The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary for not less than one year; or<\/li>\n<li>the Armed Forces of a country while that country was a member of NATO or NORAD; or<\/li>\n<li>the United States Forces; or<\/li>\n<li>the Vietnam War with the Armed Forces of the United States, Australia, the Republic of Korea or South Vietnam, and were a Canadian citizen or Commonwealth subject at the time of service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Associate Membership<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>If you do not qualify for Ordinary membership you may be eligible for Associate membership if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>are the child, stepchild, grandchild, sibling, niece\/nephew, widow\/er, parent or spouse of someone who is or was eligible for Ordinary membership; or<\/li>\n<li>are the child of an Associate member; or<\/li>\n<li>have served in The Royal Canadian Sea, Army or Air Cadets for not less than 3 years; or<\/li>\n<li>have been a cadet civilian instructor for not less than 3 years; or<\/li>\n<li>have served as an officer in the Navy League of Canada for not less than 2 years; or<\/li>\n<li>have served on a city, municipal or provincial police force for not less than 1 year; or<\/li>\n<li>have served in the Polish Armed Forces after WW II; or<\/li>\n<li>are the spouse, parent or sibling of an associate member who qualified subject to the above criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Affiliate Voting<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>To qualify for Affiliate Voting Membership you must be a Canadian or Commonwealth Citizen and over the age of 18.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Affiliate Non-Voting<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>To qualify for Affiliate Non-Voting Membership you must be a citizen of an Allied Nation and over the age of 18.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>To become a member of Branch 15, you can fill out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legion.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/MembApplicationFillable_Eng_August2016.pdf\">Membership Form<\/a>\u00a0and visit the Branch or contact the <a href=\"mailto:membershiprclbr15@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Branch Membership Officer<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are \u00a0four categories of Membership with the Royal Canadian Legion: Ordinary Membership You may be eligible for Ordinary membership if you have served or are serving in: The Canadian [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":1326,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_EventAllDay":false,"_EventTimezone":"","_EventStartDate":"","_EventEndDate":"","_EventStartDateUTC":"","_EventEndDateUTC":"","_EventShowMap":false,"_EventShowMapLink":false,"_EventURL":"","_EventCost":"","_EventCostDescription":"","_EventCurrencySymbol":"","_EventCurrencyCode":"","_EventCurrencyPosition":"","_EventDateTimeSeparator":"","_EventTimeRangeSeparator":"","_EventOrganizerID":[],"_EventVenueID":[],"_OrganizerEmail":"","_OrganizerPhone":"","_OrganizerWebsite":"","_VenueAddress":"","_VenueCity":"","_VenueCountry":"","_VenueProvince":"","_VenueState":"","_VenueZip":"","_VenuePhone":"","_VenueURL":"","_VenueStateProvince":"","_VenueLat":"","_VenueLng":"","_VenueShowMap":false,"_VenueShowMapLink":false,"footnotes":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/63"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=63"}],"version-history":[{"count":17,"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/63\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1353,"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/63\/revisions\/1353"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1326"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/rclbr15.com\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=63"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
